Fabrics
We
use only the finest 100% hemp fabrics, which we weave in-house to
our unwavering quality control standards.
In
fact, most of our bags are made from a special 17 oz fabric ( 100%
Hemp) that we have developed because of its superior strength properties.

Hemp Fabric - 17 oz
Natural Color
This
is the heaviest and strongest fabric used in the construction of
hemp bags in the world today.
Many
other hemp bags on the market are made out of a lighter and weaker
fabric that weighs in a bit under 16 oz. Other hemp bags, especially
those made in China from chemically processed short fiber hemp,
are made out of much lighter and weaker fabrics.
Our
17 oz fabric has also gone through a really intensive and all-natural
finishing process that has boiled and pressed out most of the shorter
fibers and contaminants (such as the woody hurd particles). This
finishing also brings a significant amount of shrinkage to the fabric,
reducing the shrinkage that the products made from it experience
when they are washed later by the customer.
Furthermore,
this fabric has a very tight weave, which has been made even tighter
by this finishing. This contributes not only to the strength and
durability of the fabric but also to its structuring qualities.
We
even waterproof this fabric with an Eco-sensible material that contains
no heavy metals or other environmentally destructive materials.
This material is applied in the finishing process, and so it is
bonded directly to the fibers, in contrast with most waterproofing
substances that only lie on the surface of the fabric.
This
product does not provide a 100% effective waterproofing, though,
but rather it imparts a significant amount of resistance to water.
